Legal center / informational draft

Privacy Policy.

A transparent draft for the data involved in accounts, uploads, anonymous listening, jury integrity, reports, and checkout. It is not a final privacy notice or legal advice.

1. Information used to run Track Verdict

Depending on how you use Track Verdict, the service may process account and sign-in information; email-verification status; artist private labels; audio files and generated excerpts; upload-consent records; listening, rating, and integrity records; account settings; purchase-related account access records; and content-report details you choose to submit.

Private artist labels are intended for the artist's own library and are not part of the anonymous jury presentation. Public listening and jury payloads are designed around anonymous labels and excerpts rather than artist identity or private track labels.

[TO COMPLETE] Identify the controller/business legal name, contact address, privacy contact, categories of personal information, sources, and any data collected automatically by the deployed product.

2. How information is used

Track Verdict uses information to create and secure accounts; provide uploads and excerpt playback; maintain blind jury scoring and tastemaker rankings; show artists their private submission records; protect the integrity of ratings; process and investigate content reports; provide support; maintain security; and improve the service using permitted analytics and operational records.

We do not describe this draft as a promise not to process information in any way that the live service or applicable law requires. Final purposes and legal bases need counsel review.

3. Sharing and checkout

Information may be disclosed to service providers that help operate the product, to a checkout platform when you elect to purchase a paid option, when necessary to respond to a valid legal request, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction if applicable.

Track Verdict uses a third-party platform checkout flow for purchases. Payment-card data should be collected by the checkout provider rather than through this policy page; the checkout provider's notice and terms may also apply.

[TO COMPLETE] List actual processors, hosting/storage providers, analytics tools, payment/checkout provider, support tools, countries/transfer mechanisms, and any required vendor links. Do not state a processor or compliance framework unless confirmed.

4. Cookies and analytics

The service may use essential browser storage, cookies, or similar technologies for authentication, session continuity, security, preferences, and service measurement. If optional analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies are enabled, their use and consent choices must be described before this policy is finalized.

[TO COMPLETE] Confirm every cookie, browser-storage key, analytics SDK, consent mechanism, retention period, opt-out method, and jurisdiction-specific notice. Add a cookie notice only after the actual implementation and legal requirements are confirmed.

5. Access, correction, deletion, and reports

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that Track Verdict holds about you by using the Contact & Legal Notice page or the report intake. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute handling, or the integrity of the service.

Deleting an account or a submission may not automatically erase every record immediately. Final handling, identity verification, exceptions, appeal rights, and response timing require counsel-approved policy language.

[TO COMPLETE] Set the verified request channel, identity-verification process, applicable privacy-rights language, authorized-agent process, appeal process, and confirmed response timelines. Do not insert statutory claims or retention durations without counsel review.

6. Retention and security

Track Verdict keeps information only as needed to operate the service, protect users, maintain integrity records, resolve disputes, comply with obligations, and meet other legitimate operational needs. Audio, excerpts, ratings, consent records, and moderation evidence can have different operational needs.

We use reasonable product safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security. Do not send passwords, payment data, government IDs, or other unnecessary sensitive information through the report form.

[TO COMPLETE] Confirm retention schedules by data category, security controls that can be accurately described, incident-response contacts, and any legal notification commitments.

7. Children and changes

This draft does not make a final age or children's-privacy representation. The product currently asks a submitter to confirm they are at least 18 or have parent or guardian permission before submitting audio, but that product control is not a complete legal policy.

[TO COMPLETE] Attorney to approve children's privacy approach, age threshold, change-notice method, effective date, and any regional privacy supplements before publication.
